Body Mass (2023)
Body Mass is an archive of the Toronto Summer Love-In 2023 dance festival, organized by the Love-In and Oversize Load. Over the course of the two week festival, I sat in on 7 dance and movement workshops and gathered archival material by writing 40+ pages of poetry and taking 800+ photos. I then selected and edited specific pieces for this year’s festival archive. Through interpretive archiving, Body Mass contributes to a growing movement away from objectivity and toward creative expression in the production of archives.
